About Me
I am a registered nurse and midwife practicing in the NSW Manning Valley and surrounds. I have over 33 years experience, with the past 17 years supporting women to birth at home.
As an endorsed midwife I am able to provide care and support during all stages of your pregnancy journey, including organising diagnostic tests and ultrasounds and the prescription of appropriate medications if required.
I have 20 years' experience as a child and family health nurse and lactation consultant and I am currently working towards a diploma in counselling
My greatest experience however, is through being a mother of 4 and grandmother of 5.
My Philosophy
As a midwife I am privileged to be with women during the most transformative time of their lives.
Labour and birth is regarded as womens’ initiation, a rite of passage, and as such I consider myself the gatekeeper of this sacred space.

My practice reflects this through encouragement of women’s belief in themselves, respect for their wishes and advocacy in defence of these where necessary.

My passion for homebirthing is driven by the fulfilment of witnessing women release their innate power to achieve their goal and the lasting relationships that are formed during this time.

"Birth matters...It matters because it is the way we begin our lives outside of our source, our mother's bodies. It's the means from which we enter and feel our first impression of the wider world. For each mother, it is an event that shakes and shapes her to her innermost core. Women's perceptions about their bodies and their babies' capabilities will be deeply influenced by the care they receive around the time of birth." - Ina May Gaskin
